GALAXICAN
Everything below, and a real person at the end of it.
One developer, so replies take a day or two. Include your device and OS version and it'll be faster.
| Select | Double-tap, then drag to lasso your units. |
|---|---|
| Send | Tap anywhere to send the selection there. |
| Upgrade a star | Send motes into your own star. It grows and produces faster. |
| Build a tower | Long-press a battleship to convert it. Level 3 onward. |
| Move the view | Drag with one finger on empty space. Pinch to zoom. |
| Change speed | The speed button in the HUD, once you've earned a faster tier. |
Your stars produce motes continuously. Each mote carries 1 HP. Claiming an empty star costs 20 HP pushed into it — so roughly twenty motes, arriving in any order, over any length of time. Progress is banked: motes you send are never wasted, even if the star doesn't flip immediately.
Feeding motes into a star you already own raises its tier, and a higher tier produces motes faster. The concentric rings around a star show how large it can eventually get and how far along it is. A star at full capacity gets a halo.
Five motes gathered together fuse into a squad worth more than those five motes. Three squads fuse into a battleship, again worth more than its parts. This is the core of the game: merged units are stronger than the sum of what went into them, so holding and combining beats trickling.
Long-press a battleship to turn it into a tower — a permanent emplacement that fires on anything hostile in range. It is the best HP-per-mote conversion available, and it never moves again.
A star that has been defeated goes dark and produces nothing until it has been rebuilt to 20 HP. Send motes into it and it will come back online — the ring around it fills as you feed it.
A star you own but haven't rebuilt is drawn hollow in your colour, so it is still findable on the map.
They're earned per level, not globally. Clear a level at normal speed to unlock fast on that level; clear it at fast to unlock extreme. On a level you haven't beaten yet, the speed button does nothing — that's expected, not a bug.
It means thirty levels are really ninety challenges, because at 3× there's no time to shepherd stragglers home and the best line changes.
Unfortunately yes, and I'm sorry. Progress is saved only on your device — there's no account and no cloud sync, which is the same decision that means the game collects no data about you. Deleting the app deletes the save, and there's no copy anywhere for me to restore.
The same applies to moving to a new phone. If cloud saves matter to you, say so — it's the most requested thing I'd consider adding.
No. It's a single-player campaign against the AI, entirely offline. Your best times are recorded per level and per speed on your own device.
They were, briefly, and that was a real bug — both levels handed each side more starting stars than any other level in the game, which costs a human far more than it costs the AI. It's fixed. Make sure you're on the latest version.
If they still feel unfair rather than just hard, please write in. That's useful information.
Later levels field a lot of units at once, which is the heaviest thing the game does. Try closing background apps, and try normal speed rather than 3×.
If it's still poor, email me your device model and which level — that's exactly the report I need.
Never. On Android the app doesn't even request internet permission, so it cannot connect to anything. It works on a plane, in a tunnel, and forever.
None of either. One payment, all thirty levels, nothing else to buy and nothing to watch. See the privacy policy for what the app does and doesn't collect — the short version is nothing at all.
Refunds are handled by the store you bought from, not by me — I never see your payment details and have no way to issue one.
If something's wrong with the game, though, tell me first — I'd rather fix it than have you ask for your money back.

Reproduction steps are gold. Screenshots or a screen recording are better.
Menus are never on a timer, and you can take as long as you like on them. The gameplay controls do have timing and dexterity requirements, listed honestly here:
If the double-tap or long-press timings are a barrier for you, please say so. They're single constants in the code and easy to lengthen — I just need to know it matters to someone.
There is currently no pause. A level runs from the moment it opens until someone wins. Levels are short, and you can lower the speed at any time with the badge in the bottom-right corner, but if you need to stop, the only option is to leave the level and start it again later. I'd like to fix this.
Ownership is shown by colour — you are cyan, the enemy is magenta, unclaimed stars are amber. Whether a star is filled or hollow tells you something different: filled means it is producing ships, hollow means it is neutral or still rebuilding after being taken. So a filled star and a hollow star can belong to the same side.
Cyan against magenta stays distinct on the common forms of colour blindness. The weakest pair is at battleship tier, where your yellow and the enemy's orange sit close together; position and which direction a group is travelling are the more reliable cues there. If any of this makes the game hard to play, please tell me — it's easier to fix than to guess at.
